Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) joined thousands gathered in support of school choice in Houston, Texas on Saturday. The event helped kickoff National School Choice Week, a yearly event that seeks to spotlight educational freedom.
The liberal Jackson Lee and the conservative Cruz may not have much in common, but both strongly support expanding K-12 options for parents and students.
